WTF?! Should I just turn the blog into an obituary?
I have a deep love for music. All kinds. All genres (for the most part). I don't discriminate. If I sense something unique, genuine or real I tend to gravitate to it. That goes for rap music as well. A lot of it I don't like, but every so often something comes along with a deeper message embedded in the rhymes, something with substance that goes beyond bragging about meaningless material things. Guru had this gift. Back in the day I went through a phase that heavily involved Gang Starr. This track in particular I listened to many times. It seems quite fitting today.

"If I sense something unique, genuine or real I tend to gravitate to it" ... oh yeah, I know what you mean. Gang Starr is one of the few Rap Acts that I was into, too and I was shocked when I found out about Guru's death. Great though too see other people share the same thoughts.
I like rap music alot. I've never heard of him before. He's seems like a good rapper.
